Job summary

Palms Medical Group seeks a dedicated staff physician to deliver comprehensive primary care across the patient lifespan in our Florida clinics. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to provide evidence-based care, participate in after-hours coverage, and uphold PMG policies and patient-focused service.

The role emphasizes credentialing, accurate documentation in the EHR, and active participation in QA/QI activities, community health initiatives, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical school with an M.D. or D.O. degree.
• Current and valid physician license in the State of Florida.
• Maintain Board Certification.
• Current DEA certification.
• Current BLS (basic life support) Certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide necessary medical services to patients of Palms Medical Group within scope of practice and PMG policies.
• Identify oneself as a physician and wear identification badge at all times.
• Exhibit professionalism when greeting and treating patients in the clinic.
• Educate, counsel and guide patients on disease prevention and healthy lifestyle habits.
• Prescribe medication as defined by state and federal laws and within scope of practice.
• Develop treatment plans for acute and chronic diseases across life cycle.
• Perform diagnostic tests, screening evaluations and patient exams.
• Provide other services as granted by privileges.
• Be available for after-hours contact to treat or triage medical conditions.
• Share in providing coverage for extended PMG office hours as approved.
• Read and adhere to the Clinical Policy Manual.
• Assist in medical data collection for UDS and grant applications as directed by the CMO.
• Participate in QA/QI activities as directed by the CMO.
• Carry out responsibilities related to patient charges, third party reimbursement, etc.
• Maintain electronic health records per PMG policies and procedures.
