Job summary

Palms Medical Group in Florida seeks a Physician Assistant to work in collaboration with a supervising physician providing primary care services across the lifespan. The role includes health promotion, disease prevention and patient education in a community-focused setting.

Candidates must have graduated from an accredited PA program, hold a Florida PA license (PA-C preferred) and maintain BLS certification. Expect clinic coverage and potential travel to other PMG sites as needed.

• Must be organized, a self-starter and detailed oriented.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel and cover other sites during provider absences
• Coach, mentor and train clinical staff

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in collaboration with supervising physician.
• Deliver medical services within scope of practice and PMG policies.
• Identify yourself as a physician assistant and wear ID badge.
• Educate, counsel and promote disease prevention and healthy lifestyles.
• Prescribe medications under physician supervision per laws and scope.
• Develop treatment plans for acute and chronic diseases.
• Perform diagnostic tests, exams and health assessments.
• Maintain PMG electronic health records per policies.
• Participate in QA/QI activities and policy reviews.
• Support after-hours coverage and extended office hours as approved.
