Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; an Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, Family Studies, Psychology, or related field preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the community and to homes.
• Experience coaching, educating, counseling, or providing social services to families.
• Knowledge of child development, family dynamics, and trauma-informed practices.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work respectfully with diverse families.
• Ability to model and teach practical life skills in a culturally responsive manner.

Responsibilities

• Conduct family assessments to identify strengths, challenges, and goals related to parenting, household management, and daily living.
• Develop individualized Family Life Skills Plans based on family needs and goals.
• Provide in-home and community coaching on parenting, budgeting, meal planning, and time management.
• Assist families in accessing community resources and supports.
• Maintain documentation, progress notes, and reports per guidelines.
• Collaborate with social workers, educators, and health professionals involved with the family.
• Promote self-advocacy and long-term family stability; maintain confidentiality.
