Job summary

The Village of Pinecrest is seeking a sworn police officer to join a community-oriented policing team. The role emphasizes problem solving, investigations, and public safety in a midsize department with high accreditation standards.

You will perform traditional and non-traditional law enforcement duties, maintain records, testify in court, and engage with residents, businesses, and visitors while upholding the department motto Commitment to Excellence.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Fluent English; Spanish a plus.
• Must be able to pass exams, psych screening, polygraph, background, medical.
• Must be non-smoker and physically capable.

Responsibilities

• Maintains skills from police academy and receives department training.
• Uses a Police Taser and maintains proficiency in training.
• Conducts investigations and background checks.
• Prepares reports and testimony for courts.
• Manages traffic and investigates accidents.
• Utilizes forensic techniques.
• Performs related duties as assigned.
