Job summary

Metropolitan Family Services seeks a dedicated Parent and Community Engagement Specialist for the Calumet Center in Chicago. The role focuses on engaging parents and families, coordinating programs, and building strong community partnerships to support student and family outcomes.

Position is full-time and on-site with salary in the $44,000–$49,000 range. Candidates with passion for community impact and experience with families are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• 2+ years of experience working with children and families is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Out of School Coordinator in service plan development of parent/family services.
• Review data to analyze parent/family needs and plan programs to support engagement.
• Maintain a detailed parent/family class schedule.
• Provide outreach to parents, families, and the community for activities.
• Coordinate community outreach and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
• Collaborate to facilitate opportunities for parents and families.
• Maintain records of Parent/Family Activities and attendance.
• Develop and maintain a Resource Library for families in need.
• Plan field trips that promote parent engagement.
• Attend agency and program meetings and parent meetings at the school.
