Job summary

VOALA is seeking a Custodian to perform daily janitorial duties at our Los Angeles facility. The role involves cleaning, basic repairs, and ensuring safety and cleanliness in accordance with required schedules.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, experience cleaning high foot traffic areas, and the ability to read instructions in English. This on-site position offers competitive pay and benefits as part of VOALA's facilities team.

Qualifications

• Experience cleaning high foot traffic areas and bathrooms.

Responsibilities

• Maintains interior and exterior of the facility including building, parking lot and grounds.
• Daily cleaning of assigned areas using various cleaning products.
• Restock bathrooms; dusting, window cleaning, waste cans, vacuuming lobby and hallways.
• Performs minor repairs such as carpentry, plumbing, interior painting, refurbishing.
• Follows daily checklist; ensure tools and supplies are stocked and secure.
• Report safety deficiencies; ensure compliance with codes and health requirements.
• Prepare and set up rooms for meetings, classes and events.
