Join to apply for the Community Events - Seasonal Worker 2025 role at City of Aurora, IL.

The City of Aurora is accepting applications for seasonal positions in the Community Events Division, available from approximately May through mid-October.

Under supervision, the seasonal worker will support division functions through various projects and duties.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist with setting up and running the Aurora Farmers Market (AFM) on Saturdays (7AM to 1PM, June 7th - October 4th) and Wednesdays (8AM to 3PM, July 3rd - August 20th).
• Assist with AFM social media pages and create content to promote the market online.
• Perform data entry and manage AFM documents.
• Support other division events such as parades and ceremonies.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 18 years old.
• Professional conduct and ability to work outdoors in all seasons.
• Assist with physical setup of events (tents, equipment).
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings during high volume periods.

Must pass a physical, drug screen, and background check. Hourly wage ranges from $19.66 to $23.45, depending on qualifications. Preference may be given for promotional opportunities within the City.
