Job summary

City of San Luis seeks a dedicated Special Events Coordinator to plan, execute, and assess community events, festivals, and cultural programs. You will manage budgets, coordinate sponsors and vendors, and ensure safety and quality across all event logistics.

This role requires 3 years of relevant experience and a High School Diploma or GED. Arizona driver’s license and first aid/CPR are required, with residency near the city preferred and bilingual Spanish a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Three (3) years of full-time progressively responsible experience planning, coordinating, and implementing special events or similar programs.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, implement, and evaluate community events, festivals, and cultural programs.
• Develop event budgets; monitor revenues and expenditures; aim for cost recovery and growth.
• Identify and coordinate sponsors, partners, vendors, exhibitors, and contractors; negotiate service agreements.
