Job summary

City of Red Oak, Texas is seeking Facility/Special Event Attendants to manage the Red Oak Municipal Center during private rentals and public events. Staff ensure safety, assist with setup, and provide friendly customer service.

Responsibilities include opening/closing the center, setting up chairs and equipment, enforcing policies, recording event details, and coordinating with the Events Coordinator. Shifts include evenings, weekends, and holidays, with hours 5–20 per week.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • One to three years’ experience operating audio and video equipment including projectors and microphones
  • Demonstrated experience of positive interactions with public

Responsibilities

  • Provides excellent customer service, responding to inquiries and resolving customer complaints in a prompt, effective, courteous manner.
  • Opens, closes and secures Red Oak Municipal Center for schedule public/private rentals.
  • Completes set up and tear down of facility (tables, chairs, dance floor, equipment) as assigned
  • Enforces facility/equipment policies and procedures with public and private users when needed.
  • Records details related to events during set up, event time and clean up, providing recommendations for improvements when appropriate.
  • Attends staff meetings and participates in training programs and evaluations.
