Summary of Duties
As an employee working within the Child Welfare Program, you will have an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of Oregon’s most vulnerable children and families. Your dedication will help us achieve the Child Welfare Vision for Transformation that will support children and young adults to be safer, healthier, experience less trauma, and achieve greater well-being.
As a Community Engagement Support, you will:
Provide Resource Support/Donation Coordination: Support the work of Community Partnership Coordinators (CPCs) and related programming by maintaining responsibility for the solicitation of donation items for Child Welfare and ODHS programs within the district and providing tax deduction documentation to donors.
Maintain regular communication with donors/potential donors, keeping them informed of upcoming needs, opportunities, and events.
Facilitate Meetings and Collaboration: Assist Supervisor as part of a cross-program team in transition towards Community Work across programs.
Participate with cross-program teammates in a coordinated response to ensure consistent processes and protocols across programs.
Provide Event Coordination: Support the Community Partnership Coordinators team in the coordination of monthly and annual events, including providing internal/external communications.
Provide Volunteer/Intern Administrative Program Support: Provide administrative, recruitment, and onboarding support to Supervisor and Family Time Team as part of the CW/SSP/APD volunteer and intern program.
Minimum Qualifications
Two years of general clerical experience that includes keyboarding, word processing, or other experience generating documents; OR
An associate degree in any field; OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience providing administrative, recruitment, and onboarding support to supervisors.

Working Conditions
Work Locations: Offices and community sites.
Travel: Frequent travel for meetings, trainings, and other case-related activities.
Hours: The regular workweek will be in-office from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Occasional overtime may be needed, including evenings and weekends.
Physical Requirements: Frequent physical activity, including lifting up to 50 pounds and assisting children with car seats.
This role involves handling sensitive topics related to trauma, abuse, and crises, requiring a trauma-informed approach that is essential to ensure a safe environment.
You may interact with individuals who have experienced trauma and may have difficulty managing their emotions.
Be prepared for stressful situations that require quick decision-making to ensure safety for yourself and others.

The Oregon Department of Human Services does not offer visa sponsorship.
