Montgomery College has an immediate need for (2) full-time Community Engagement Specialist II positions in the Advancement and Community Engagement Division, based out of the Central Services location, working at multiple community sites. The standard work schedule is 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm, with occasional evening or weekend hours based on event schedules. This is a non-bargaining, non-exempt, grade 25 position, with up to two days of telework possible with supervisor approval.
The role involves engaging with the community to promote awareness of Montgomery College and assist residents with accessing post-secondary education through various outreach activities including appointments, workshops, community events, civic initiatives, campus tours, multilingual communications, and grassroots outreach.

Qualifications include an associate degree in a relevant field, at least two years of outreach or community engagement experience, strong communication skills, ability to transport outreach materials, and proficiency with Microsoft Office, social media, and flyer design software. Preferred qualifications include bilingual abilities, customer service skills, and experience representing organizations publicly.
The hiring range is $27.68 - $35.98 per hour, with a maximum of $44.27, based on experience and internal equity.
