Job summary

Community Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Community Engagement/Outreach Coordinator to connect with local officials, community-based organizations, and residents in Barstow, CA. You will coordinate events, lead outreach activities, and document outcomes to support MAP's mission.

The role requires strong communication, program coordination, and the ability to work independently and with a team. Benefits include vacation, sick time, and a 401(k) plan; evening events may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a social science or related field required.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills essential.
• Demonstrated sound judgment and strong decision-making abilities.
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and project coordination capabilities.
• Proven ability to work independently and in a collaborative team; leadership by example.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel) and virtual meeting platforms (Zoom, Teams, GoToMeeting).

Responsibilities

• Develop, establish, and sustain relationships with community officials and organizations.
• Coordinate, lead, and participate in public relations and outreach activities.
• Identify and implement community service projects aligning with agency goals.
• Accurately document and report outreach activities and outcomes to leadership.
• Maintain regular communication with QA Subcontractor Coordinator and Program Director III.
• Provide support for team functions and assist with special events as needed.
