Job summary

Washington Builds is seeking a Community Engagement Coordinator to lead engagement with Washington’s underserved communities, including LMI neighborhoods, tribal communities, and rural areas. You will partner with local organizations to facilitate listening sessions, promote a statewide network of trade allies, and build long-term distribution partnerships to inform lending product design.

• Clear written and verbal communication, explaining energy financing concepts plainly.
• Ability to gather, organize, and summarize qualitative feedback into insights.
• Interest in clean energy, energy efficiency, or community development finance.
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to travel statewide.
• Commitment to serving overburdened communities.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and facilitate community listening sessions in LMI, tribal, and rural communities.
• Gather and translate feedback into practical input for lending product design.
• Identify and engage local contractors and educate them on financing opportunities.
• Build and maintain relationships with community organizations as long-term partners.
• Represent Washington Builds in community settings and center community voice.
• Document records of engagement activities and provide summaries to the Director.
• Meet reporting requirements for WCCN program with data and narratives.
• Participate in training, professional development, and networking opportunities.
