Job summary

The New York Immigration Coalition (NYIC) seeks a Community Engagement Associate to support data collection, prepare resources, and maintain admin systems for outreach across New York State.

Under the Director of Community Engagement, you will assist with event planning, workshop delivery, and coordination with partner organizations, with a focus on immigrant communities and rights advocacy.

Qualifications

• Experience managing data collection and reporting for events or programs.
• Experience creating materials for community outreach and Know Your Rights education.
• Strong writing and research skills with attention to detail.
• Proficient in Google Workspace, CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), and project management tools.
• Flexibility to work evenings or weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage data collection and record keeping for Community Engagement events using Salesforce, spreadsheets, shared drives, and other tools.
• Assist in grant management and reporting, including tracking of deliverables, budgets, and expenses.
• Create and maintain systems that support the Community Engagement team in coordinating events and communication with partner organizations.
• Propose and implement improvements to team workflow and processes.
• Coordinate and participate in community events and deliver Know Your Rights workshops.
