Job summary

The Greater Mondawmin Coordinating Council (GMCC) is seeking a Community Engagement Coordinator to strengthen eight neighborhood associations, organize the monthly Assembly, and ensure resident voices shape neighborhood initiatives.

Working with executive leadership, you will lead outreach, events, and communications, recruit volunteers, track engagement data, and support partnerships across Baltimore's Mondawmin area.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in community organizing, volunteer management, or neighborhood outreach.
• Experience planning and facilitating community meetings or public events.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across generations and backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Affiliate & Resident Support: Act as the primary contact for eight neighborhood associations; assist leaders with volunteers and outreach.
• Assembly & Event Execution: Lead monthly planning, logistics, and facilitation for the Greater Mondawmin Assembly.
• Field Outreach & Presence: Staff tabling, canvassing, cleanups, greening events, and school activities to gather input on priorities.
• Program & Asset Promotion: Create direct communications—flyers, social posts, and newsletters about GMCC meetings and resources.
• Engagement Tracking: Maintain contact lists, surveys, and outreach logs to measure participation.
