Legal Aid of southeastern Pennsylvania is seeking a Community Engagement Staff Attorney (record-clearing) based in Norristown, PA. The attorney will lead outreach efforts, supervise volunteers, and handle cases involving expungements, pardons, and related civil matters for clients across four counties.

The role emphasizes addressing collateral consequences of criminal records, community education, and collaboration with partners.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania or admitted in another jurisdiction and eligible for PA admission.
• At least two (2) years’ experience as a lawyer preferred with proficiency in Microsoft Office products, case management software, and online legal research tools.
• Spanish language fluency is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Interviewing clients, assessing eligibility and gathering facts.
• Conducting legal research and interpreting statutes, case law, and regulations.
• Providing advice and referrals to clients and preparing legal documents.
