Job summary

Invenergy seeks an Associate, Community Engagement to lead local outreach and act as a relationship lead with county and municipal officials, chambers, and Economic Development Organizations across the United States. The role supports energy project development from outreach to construction, with travel around half the time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree (preference for energy-related fields).
• 3–5+ years of relevant experience in agriculture, construction, or development.
• Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• Ability to travel about 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Represent Invenergy in meetings with officials, landowners, and stakeholders.
• Explain project benefits to host communities.
• Assist in obtaining county and municipal approvals for development.
• Help develop and implement a structured community relations program.
• Coordinate with internal teams to align community plans with company priorities.
• Manage budgets and schedules, including external support and budgeting.
• Monitor local opposition and engage key individuals to mitigate issues.
• Coordinate with counties and government groups.
• Support strategy from initial outreach to construction with developers.
