Job summary

Mosaic is seeking a Community Employment Specialist to empower individuals with developmental disabilities to secure and thrive in meaningful employment and volunteer roles within the community.

You will coach, mentor, and train participants while building strong partnerships with local employers. The role requires helping clients develop essential life skills and ensuring safe transport to work sites, with a focus on dignity and independence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year experience working with people with intellectual disabilities.
• Ability to perform physical activities including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Schedule requires Monday–Friday 8a–5p with occasional flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor individuals at job or volunteer sites to build task mastery and confidence.
• Develop life skills and independent living skills for long-term success.
• Build partnerships with local employers and volunteer organizations.
• Safely transport individuals to and from their sites and maintain confidential progress records.
