Job summary

Mosaic, a dedicated nonprofit serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, seeks a Community Employment Specialist in Kansas. You will help individuals find, secure, and thrive in meaningful employment and volunteer roles, providing coaching, support, and advocacy to build independence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of one year experience working with people with intellectual disabilities.
• Physical demands include standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, crouching, squatting, reaching
• Lifts up to 50 pounds with assistance and safe transfer capability.

Responsibilities

• Coach & mentor individuals at job or volunteer sites, helping them master tasks and build confidence.
• Build partnerships with local employers and volunteer organizations.
• Safely transport individuals to and from employment and volunteer sites.
• Advocate for individuals and document progress, centering their needs and rights.
