Job summary

Sioux Falls School District's Community Education department is seeking a part-time Music Instructor to teach piano and guitar and lead 30-minute private lessons across youth to adult students.

Instructors will set their own curriculum within program needs, teach during school year hours 4:00-8:00 PM and summer hours 12:00-6:00 PM, with lessons offered year-round. Applicants should have a degree in music education or performance, or equivalent experience, and a background check is required.

Community Education Music Instructor for All Ages (Youth to Adult)

Part Time Position

The Community Education Department is seeking passionate and skilled music instructors to join our growing lessons program. If you enjoy working with students and sharing your love of music, we'd love to hear from you!

We are currently hiring piano and guitar instructors based on program needs. Ideal candidates will have a degree in music education, music performance, or a related field—or equivalent education and experience. A background check is required.

Program Details

Instructors provide 30-minute individual lessons for students ranging from youth to adult participants. Lessons are offered year-round during the following sessions:

• Spring (January-May)
• Summer (June-August)
• Fall (September-December)
