Job summary

Sioux Falls School District's Community Education department is seeking a part-time Music Instructor to teach piano and guitar and lead 30-minute private lessons across youth to adult students.

Instructors will set their own curriculum within program needs, teach during school year hours 4:00-8:00 PM and summer hours 12:00-6:00 PM, with lessons offered year-round. Applicants should have a degree in music education or performance, or equivalent experience, and a background check is required.

Qualifications

• Degree in music education, music performance, or related field, or equivalent education and experience.
• Background check is required.
• Experience teaching music is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide 30-minute individual music lessons for youth to adult students.
• Teach year-round across Spring, Summer and Fall sessions.
