Qualifications

• Commit to Kids/Adult Instructor expectations and policies.

• 2+ years experience in the field; kids/teens require 2+ years with children.
• Strong expertise and enthusiasm in the content area.
• Inclusive mindset and engagement for all students.
• Reliable, punctual and responsible; CORI/SORI background check.
• Online instructors must be tech proficient.

Responsibilities

• Support NCE mission and values.
• Provide course description to program coordinator.
• Provide syllabus/plan with learning objectives.
• Prepare materials and budget approvals; ensure accessible visuals.
• Foster belonging and active student participation.
• Supervise students and ensure safety; notify coordinators of issues.
• Support students with special needs as directed by staff.
• Prepare classroom and leave it in good condition.
• Teach make-up classes as needed due to weather or other issues.
• For online instructors, secure equipment and tech for class.
• Respond to staff feedback and adjust accordingly.
