Job summary

Dysart Unified School District is seeking a detail-oriented Community Education Staff member for a full-time, on-site role in Surprise, AZ. You will help plan, coordinate, and deliver community education programs, including after-school activities, classes, and district-sponsored events.

The role requires strong customer service, organizational skills, and the ability to work with families and youth in a learning environment. Evening or weekend availability may be needed as program needs arise.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Organizational and administrative skills: scheduling, records, data entry, basic computer proficiency.
• Problem-solving, teamwork, adaptability to support diverse programs.
• Experience with school-based programs, tutoring, recreation, or child supervision preferred but not required.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required; related education/recreation experience beneficial.
• Ability to follow district policies, maintain confidentiality, and ensure a safe environment.
• Full-time schedule with possible evenings or weekends as needed.
• Experience in a school district or community setting is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with program registration and maintain accurate records.
• Communicate with families and community members; provide front-line customer service.
• Support instructors with materials and logistics; help ensure safe, well-organized learning environments.
• Follow district policies and procedures consistently.
• Assist with outreach to promote offerings through various channels; collaborate with district personnel to meet community needs.
