Community Education Chinese (Mandarin) Language Instructor - Willamette Primary School
This is a position in partnership with Clackamas Community College Community Education and WLWV Family Empowerment Center for the sole purpose of community participation through enrichment and needed opportunities. Activity will depend on community participants’ enrollment (minimum of 10 participants, if not enough enrollment, the class will be canceled for the season), 1.5 hours per week (Thursdays from 6-7:30 p.m.) and a maximum of 8 days total per Season (Fall, Winter, Spring).
Applicant must be able to complete all of the required onboarding steps for both the District and the Clackamas Community College.
Plan a learning environment for adults (ages 16+) that includes second language learning with activities to engage participants. This can be accomplished through use of oral, role play, writing activities, use of kinesthetic and visual activities, cultural connections and understandings; responsive and generative writing; embedded vocabulary into conversation and interactions; optimal comprehensible input.

An instructor in this position is expected to have the ability to maintain a climate of learning and the ability to use own initiative in responding to participants’ learning needs.
College diploma/degree or international equivalency.
