Job summary

Alameda Health System (AHS) is seeking Emergency Medicine Physicians to staff San Leandro and Alameda Hospitals in the Division of Community Emergency Medicine.

This full-time role involves triage, patient histories, exam findings, diagnostic interpretation, and issuing orders while collaborating with nurses, specialists, and EMS for diverse East Bay patients. CA licensed MD/DO with EM residency required; board eligibility expected.

Qualifications

• MD or DO required.
• Minimum residency in Emergency Medicine (accredited).
• Board eligibility in Emergency Medicine.
• Board Certification expected on schedule.
• California medical license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical services in the ED for all patients assigned.
• Triaging, history-taking, physical exams, and order writing.
• Coordinate with hospital departments to transfer patients when needed.
• Maintain documentation per standards and pursue quality improvement.
