Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Tenneva is hiring Retail Sales Associates to join our mission-driven team in a fast-paced retail environment. You’ll greet customers and donors with a smile, operate the POS system, and assist in receiving, tagging, pricing, sorting, and stocking donations and merchandise.

You’ll also help keep the store clean, safe, and organized while following inventory and safety procedures. The role emphasizes teamwork, reliable scheduling (including weekends), and a customer-focused

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED preferred.
• Basic computer and POS skills.
• Strong customer service and communication abilities.
• Reliable, flexible, and able to take initiative.
• Ability to work a varied schedule, including weekends.
• Prior retail, donation processing, or cash-handling experience a plus.
• Must be able to stand, bend, and lift up to 35 pounds throughout a shift.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional, courteous service to all customers and donors — greeting everyone with a smile and a thank you.
• Operate the cash register and POS system accurately and efficiently.
• Work in any area of the store as needed, including: Receiving and sorting donations; Tagging and pricing clothing and household goods; Processing donated items for sale; Stocking, rotating, and organizing merchandise on the sales floor.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace in both front and back areas of the store.
• Follow all procedures of the Goodwill Push System for inventory flow.
• Adhere to all safety, security, and payment policies.
• Participate in team meetings and support store goals through teamwork and positive communication.
