Job summary

The City of St. Charles Police Department invites applications for Police Officers. Starting base pay is $108,441.64, with top base pay $134,273.36 per the MAP 27 CBA for FY 27/28.

Qualifications

• Current, sworn Illinois municipal police officer (or equivalent)
• Good standing in current department for at least one year after probation or laid-off status
• Law enforcement certification through Illinois Standards & Training Board
• Citizen of the United States or legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Authorized to possess a firearm under federal law
• Minimum age of 21
• Valid driver’s license
• Residence within 40 miles of North 15th Street & West Main Street or within 12-month probationary period
