Qualifications

  • Valid Georgia driver's license or ability to obtain one.
  • Ability to meet Georgia Mandate Law Enforcement Training Act requirements.
  • Certification under POST and GCIC eligibility.
  • Ability to work on-call, overtime, and rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Patrol assigned zones to deter crime and enforce traffic laws.
  • Respond to calls from dispatch including domestic disputes and accidents.
  • Conduct preliminary investigations and secure crime scenes.
  • Arrest and process offenders; provide aid and backup as needed.
  • Complete reports and maintain patrol car and equipment.
