Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• P.O.S.T. Academy graduation required.
• LEO and/or Corrections P.O.S.T. certification required or preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Must be 21+ years old.

Responsibilities

• Proactive patrol to protect the community.
• Respond to calls for service and investigate incidents.
• Enforce traffic and criminal laws and gather evidence.
• Interview witnesses and assist accident victims.
• Support search and rescue efforts and resolve disputes.
• Maintain courtroom security and assist the public with court questions.
• Protect county facilities and personnel.
