Job summary

The Cache County Sheriff's Office in Utah is seeking a Deputy to join our team. This entry-level law enforcement role emphasizes public safety, upholding laws, and protecting rights in the county.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must graduate from P.O.S.T. Academy.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• LEO and/or Corrections P.O.S.T. Certification required.
• Valid Utah driver's license required.
• Must pass extensive background investigation.
• Must work rotating shift and be on call 24 hours.
• 40 hours of training per year to maintain certification.

Responsibilities

• Respond to calls for service and patrol assigned areas.
• Report to and investigate accident scenes and incidents.
• Transport inmates between locations and to court appearances.
• Guard inmates in jail or on outside work crews as required.
• Assist in maintaining courthouse order and security.
