Job summary

Berkshire Family And Individual Resources seeks staff to support individuals with developmental disabilities in the community and with their families. You will guide and train clients to live independently and ensure safe, healthy environments with access to medical and social supports.

The role requires a valid US driver’s license, background checks, and the ability to read, write, and communicate clearly. Starting pay is hourly with service delivery in Pittsfield, MA.

Qualifications

• Min of 18 years of age.
• HS Diploma/GED or one year experience in a related field, must possess basic math (addition/subtraction) skills, ability to read & write, communicate effectively both verbally and written, ability to multi-task and exercise good judgement.
• Background checks including CORI, SORI, Fingerprinting, LEIE, Driving record, E-verify, Physical, PPD and licensing and/or certification checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide supports and assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities in the community and to their family members.
• Provide guidance and training in developing skills needed to live independently.
• Ensure residents reside in a safe and healthy environment with access to medical and social support.
