Job summary

HallKeen Assisted Living Communities is seeking a Full-Time Cook for our Boston-area community. You will prepare and cook meals, ensuring adherence to recipes and menus while maintaining a clean, sanitary kitchen.

You will work closely with the Food Service Director to meet residents' dining expectations, handle opening/closing duties, and participate in special events. A high school diploma and Serve Safe certification are required, with 1–3 years of relevant experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Serve Safe Certification is required or preferred.
• Ability to read and follow recipes and production guides.

Responsibilities

• Provide high level customer service and promote a restaurant-style dining atmosphere.
• Work with the food service director to keep residents satisfied with dining programs.
• Maintain kitchen and storage areas in a clean, safe, sanitary condition at all times.
• Open and/or close the kitchen.
• Adhere to cleaning schedules and food safety practices.
• Prepare and cook meals according to recipes and menus, and document temperatures.
