Job summary

Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland seeks innovative thinkers for a 10- to 12-week internship in the Community Development department. Fellows will conduct quantitative and qualitative research on affordable housing, workforce and economic development, and access to good jobs for low- and moderate-income communities.

Interns work 40 hours per week onsite in Cleveland, Ohio, with opportunities to contribute to publications, assist with outreach, and gain hands-on experience in data analysis using

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Public Administration, Public Policy, Urban Studies, or related field with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Should have at least one semester left to complete in school.
• Strong writing and interpersonal skills.
• Strong computer/technical skills; experience collecting, manipulating, and analyzing large datasets (Excel required; GIS, R, Python or STATA a plus).

Responsibilities

• Contribute to team projects using quantitative and qualitative research methods to learn about economic and community development programs and policies.
• Assist with data gathering and manipulating data using statistical packages and programming languages (Excel, STATA, R, Python).
• Participate in preparation of online and written publications and briefs for internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist with outreach, public programs and events.
