Job summary

The City of Laredo is seeking a Community Development Program Coordinator to manage financial and program activities, including grants monitoring and reporting. The role supports an administrator by handling administrative detail, preparing complex financial statements, and ensuring compliance with guidelines.

The position requires strong organizational skills, knowledge of budgeting, contract processing, and public communication. On-site work in Laredo, TX with driving City vehicles as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field.
• Experience in grant management, budgeting, procurement, accounting or related field.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and processes contractor reimbursements and related financial tasks.
• Assists with preparing files for review boards approval and bidding processes.
• Prepares loan documents and executes closings.
• Manages delinquent accounts and inputs/monitors IDIS activities.
• Assists with sub-recipients monitoring (remote and on-site).
• Coordinates and administers assigned programs with adherence to policy, law and budget.
• Develops and improves methods and procedures for operations.
• Prepares reports and documents ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
