Job summary

Prince George’s County Government seeks a Coordinator/Case Manager (Community Developer 1G) in the Children, Youth, and Families Division. The role organizes, monitors, and supports the Case Manager team to serve youth and families in Need of Support (CINS).

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree and a valid driver’s license. The incumbent will maintain a 10-15 client caseload, collaborate with DJS and other agencies, and prepare monthly/annual reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Business or Public Administration, Social Service, Sociology, Psychology, or a closely related field.
• Responsible work experience which includes coordination of group activities, preferably with disadvantaged individuals.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Class C driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a caseload of 10-15 clients.
• Provide case management services to children, youth, and families referred to through the Department of Juvenile Services (DJS) and other child-serving agencies.
• Monitor, screen initial referrals, assign, and monitor Case Manager caseload.
• Monitor, review, and assist Case Managers.
• Coordinate data collection, evaluation, and tracking activities of Case Manager.
• Prepare monthly report for submission to DJS.
• Prepare annual report.
• Develop and maintain relationships with referring agencies staff and community organizations (i.e., school system, Pupil Personnel Workers, Inter-agency Council, etc.).
• Work with CYFD Administrative Assistant to prepare fiscal memos for program activities.
• Coordinate program activities, contact vendors and other sources relevant to CINS programming.
• Schedule and facilitate meetings geared towards meeting CINS objectives.
• Participate in county-wide community outreach activities/events.
