Job summary

Pueblo of San Felipe is seeking a qualified dentist to lead community-based dental care for eligible American Indians and Alaska Natives. The role includes clinical and radiographic examinations, diagnosis, restorative and preventive services, and involvement in school dental programs and Head Start initiatives.

You will coordinate department activities, advise Tribal leadership, supervise staff, manage equipment, and develop QA/PI audits to improve the oral health program.

Qualifications

• Must hold a dental medicine degree (D.M.D or DDS) from an ADA-accredited school.
• Knowledge of public health principles, health education, and disease prevention.
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Dental Health Department activities with tribal administration.
• Advise clinic staff and tribal leadership on oral health matters.
• Refer complex cases to authorized contract facilities.
• Educate community on oral health and participate in school programs.
• Maintain dental clinic equipment and QA/PI audits as needed.
• Supervise dental auxiliaries and ensure policy adherence.
• Develop dental health programs and assess program outcomes.
