Job summary

Pueblo of San Felipe is seeking a licensed dentist to serve as a community-based health leader. The role provides urgent and comprehensive dental care, including examinations, diagnosis, and a wide range of treatments within a tribal health setting.

You will coordinate the Dental Health Department activities, advise clinic staff and Tribal Council, and participate in school programs and community education to promote oral health across the Pueblo community.

Qualifications

• Debrief on public health principles and community-based programs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to analyze data and evaluate program outcomes.
• Adapt dental education to cultural needs of Pueblo communities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Dental Health Department activities per Tribal Administration and funding requirements.
• Advise clinic staff and Tribal Council on oral health matters.
• Refer patients to contract facilities when needed.
• Educate community on dental health and participate in school programs.
