Job summary

Mission Neighborhood Health Center in San Francisco seeks a Dentist to provide routine and emergency care with a focus on quality service. You will diagnose, plan treatment, perform restorations, endodontics, crowns/bridges, and minor oral surgery under the Dental Director.

Requirements include a DDS/DMD and a California license. Salary ranges from $162,510 to $178,741 with full benefits and opportunities to engage in community health programs.

Qualifications

• DDS or DMD degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid California dental license to practice.
• Demonstrated expertise in clinical practices and standards.
• Experience with JCAHO accreditation and healthcare regulations.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine and emergency dental services including diagnosis, treatment planning, restorations, crowns/bridges, removable prosthetics, endodontics, and minor surgery.
• Interpret x-rays and lab data; administer anesthetics and medications.
• Refer patients for specialty care when needed; supervise dental staff as required.
• Educate patients on oral health and preventive care; participate in community programs.
• Assist with scheduling, productivity, and adherence to care guidelines.
• Maintain charting and use computers for data entry; ensure equipment and supplies are adequate.
