Job summary

Kent Parks & Recreation is seeking a part-time Dance Instructor to teach Hip Hop, Drill, Jazz, and other styles at Kent Commons. The role offers up to 14 hours per week with hourly pay of $21.00–$24.00, located at Kent Commons Community Center.

The instructor will prepare and teach classes, manage a small group, and assist with recitals in December and June. Qualifications include being 18+, experience with youth and adults, and knowledge of youth dance programming.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Experience with kids, teens, and adults.
• Experience in youth dance programming.

Responsibilities

• Dance instructors teach dance styles to children in the community.
• Prepare for class, teach class, and clean up the space after class.
• Keep groups to no more than 12 students.
• Meet safety guidelines and complete attendance/incident reports.
