Job summary

Pioneer Human Services is hiring a Custodian for a Fri–Sun 7:00 AM–7:00 PM schedule. The role focuses on safety, environmental cleanliness, and structured programming to support community living.

Experience in janitorial work is preferred, CPR/First Aid certification required, and High School Diploma or GED is beneficial. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, flexible spending, retirement plan, life/AD&D, disability coverage, tuition assistance, and transit discounts.

Qualifications

• Intermediate level of computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Remove garbage from each floor at the beginning and end of shift, transporting cans to street or storage areas.
• Clean common area floors by vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and waxing as needed.
• Clean and sanitize lavatories and wash basins, mirrors, walls, and washroom floors.
• Complete pre-approved maintenance items as requested.
• Report maintenance problems to the Facility Manager in a timely manner.
• Maintain inventory of supplies needed to perform duties.
• Perform monthly inspections as requested.
• Respond to residents’ concerns and provide assistance as indicated.
• Coordinate with Facility Managers and Program Manager to address issues promptly.
