Job summary

The State of Washington, Department of Corrections, Community Corrections Division in Richland, WA, seeks an internal CCO3 to lead, train, and supervise staff at the Prosser Outstation Unit. This six-month non-permanent appointment focuses on collaboration with partners and ensuring safety and compliance with policies.

Successful candidates may meet the two-year CCO requirement or hold a bachelor’s degree plus three years of related experience, with firearms and driving credentials.

Qualifications

• Two years as a Community Corrections Officer within the WA DOC.
• Bachelor's degree and three years of related work experience in corrections or law enforcement, with listed duties.
• Ability to carry and maintain a firearm and qualifications.
• Valid unrestricted vehicle operator's license in WA.
• Ability to work with individuals with criminal backgrounds and maintain objectivity.

Responsibilities

• Supervise individuals under supervision in accordance with policy and law.
• Engage with supervised individuals to work toward positive change.
• Enforce supervision conditions and the law.
• Lead other Community Corrections Officers.
• Act as the Unit Duty Officer.
• Other duties as assigned.
