Who We Are:
Assabet Valley Collaborative (AVC) is an educational service agency in Metrowest/Central Massachusetts. Our services include school programs, wraparound services, transportation services, professional development, cooperative purchasing and consulting.
We are looking for a Community Coordinator who serves as a leader and as a learner; a team member who is flexible, resourceful, and thrives in a fast-paced, non-traditional, collaborative environment and who understands educational and human service institutions. This person demonstrates a learning mindset and ability to receive feedback, self-reflect, and adapt, as well as an ability to effectively facilitate the learning of others by pushing their thinking, building their skills, and sparking their self-reflection and curiosity.
The primary role of the Community Coordinator at OSA is to lead the year round daily operations of the school including the training, supervision and evaluation of paraeducators, deploying staffing resources to meet student daily needs throughout the school.

Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and mentoring through modeling effective practices and strategies; support all staff by providing feedback, strategies and suggestions.
- In conjunction with others respond to critical or serious incidents that arise within the program.
- Create and revise daily coverage schedules to ensure adequate staffing for all school programming, in-the-moment coverage changes, and other duties related to daily school programming.
- Communicate with transportation providers, parents, school districts regarding any changes or issues.
- Collaborate with paraeducators on assignments and schedule.
- Meet with paraeducators for 1:1 supervision to support their growth and learning, at least monthly.
- Serves as liaison between educators, clinicians, and paraeducators.
- Serve as ESY program coordinator, to include: develop (or oversee) weekly course and activity schedule, sign and submit weekly attendance sheets; develop Field Trip/Activities budget; submit student roster to Accounts Receivable/Transportation Specialist; submit staff roster (anticipated hours/schedule) to AP/Payroll Specialist.
- Provide consultation and/or professional development for staff as needed.
- Complete necessary documentation.
- Member of Interdisciplinary Leadership Team.
- Participate and engage in community events.
- Comply with collaborative wide policies and procedures.
- Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Physical ability to execute job responsibilities that may include (depending upon assignment):
- Meet the physical requirements necessary to physically intervene in a crisis or emergency as trained and per AVC Physical Restraint protocol, policy and applicable regulations.
- Ability to report to work on time and fulfill contract days and hours.

Salary: $78,000-$80,000
Calendar Class: 207 days (this includes the 5 week Extended School Year program) + 2 days for new staff orientation
Minimum Reporting Hours: 8 hour school day; 7:30-3:30
