Davita Inc. is seeking compassionate caregivers to become Community Companion Home Providers, offering individuals with developmental disabilities a nurturing home environment. Applicants must possess empathy and patience as they assist with daily tasks, promote community integration, and manage medication, all while receiving monthly compensation.
Marrakech, Inc. is seeking compassionate caregivers willing to open their hearts and homes to become a Community Companion Home provider for a person with a developmental disability. As a provider, you will give an individual with a developmental disability the opportunity to live in a natural family environment and contribute to their overall quality of life. You will include the individual as family into your daily life.
Community Companion Homes are licensed by the Department of Developmental Services (DDS). With support from Marrakech's CCH team, licensees will complete required training, background checks, home study, and fire safety checks during the licensing process. Individuals living with a licensee must attend a weekly day program, allowing the provider to work or participate in activities of their choice. Licensed providers will have access to supports such as respite care, Marrakech oversight, nursing support (including 24/7 on-call), and license renewal.
A licensee must be patient, empathetic, and attentive. They must also be willing to assist with everyday tasks such as self-care, bathing, medication management, transportation to medical appointments, and supporting social or recreational activities to promote community integration and social/emotional growth.
The licensee receives a monthly payment for each individual living in their home—covering room and board and a reimbursement for care based on the individual's level of need.
The matching process considers similar interests and backgrounds to ensure a compatible match between the licensee and the individual.
