Davita Inc. seeks compassionate caregivers to be Community Companion Home Providers for individuals with developmental disabilities. The role involves integrating the individual into your family life, providing daily support, and ensuring community participation. Licensees receive monthly compensation, including payment for care based on need, as well as support from Marrakech’s trained team.
The vision of Marrakech Inc. is that each person we serve will live and work in the community and be accepted by their neighbors, co-workers, family, friends, and acquaintances for their individual qualities and contributions.
Marrakech, Inc.
We are seeking compassionate caregivers who are willing to open both their hearts and homes to become a Community Companion Home provider to a person with a developmental disability. As a provider, you will give an individual with a developmental disability the opportunity to live in a natural family environment and contribute to their overall quality of life. You will include the individual as family into your daily life.
Community Companion Homes are licensed by the Department of Developmental Services (DDS). With support from Marrakech's CCH team, licensees will complete required training, background checks, home study, and a fire safety check during the licensing process. Individuals living with a licensee must attend a weekly day program, allowing the provider to work or participate in activities of their choice. Licensed providers will have access to supports such as respite care, Marrakech oversight, nursing support (including 24/7 on-call), and license renewal assistance.
A licensee must be patient, empathetic, and attentive. They should be willing to assist with everyday tasks such as self-care, bathing, medication management, transportation to medical appointments, and participation in social or recreational activities to support community integration and social/emotional growth.
The licensee receives a monthly payment for each individual living in their home, which includes a flat rate for room and board and a reimbursement for care based on the individual's level of need.
The matching process considers similar interests and backgrounds to ensure a compatible match between the licensee and the individual.
