AbilityFirst is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSP) for the Long Beach area. Roles cover day-to-day support, community engagement, and personal care in licensed programs. A high school diploma is required, with a preferred Bachelor’s degree and some ECE units.

Eligible candidates will work varied full- or part-time schedules across multiple locations, with paid training and opportunities for growth in human services and behavioral health.

Formación

• High School diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 12 ECE college units may be required for childcare programs.
• 1–2 years of experience with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
• Must be able to provide physical assistance incl. lifting or transferring.

Responsabilidades

• Actively supervise participants to ensure health, safety and engagement.
• Follow staffing ratios and implement PCP-based activities and goals.
• Document daily participant progress and report concerns promptly.
• Assist with personal care tasks including feeding, toileting, and hygiene as needed.
• Support community outings and transportation as required for participants.
