Via of the Lehigh Valley is seeking a friendly Community Coach to support individuals with disabilities in the Bethlehem area. You will help participants gain independence, confidence, and community connection through community-based activities.

In this role you’ll visit museums, attend local events, plan engaging activities, and collaborate with teammates to achieve personalized goals. A High School Diploma is required, and NADSP credentialing opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds daily.
• Traveling in the community is required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and personal vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with disabilities in attaining their social and work-related goals.
• Work independently in the community.
• Visit museums, attend local events, and help participants volunteer.
• Use your creativity to plan activities for the individuals you support.

Success comes in this role from having a genuine interest or passion for working with individuals with disabilities. The Community Coach position starts at $17.00 per hour for a High School Diploma or equivalent, $17.50 per hour for an Associate’s Degree and $18.00 per hour for a Bachelor’s Degree. Additionally, earn up to $1.75 more per hour by completing all three levels of the National Alliance of Direct Support Professionals (NADSP) Career Ladder Program— a nationally recognized credentialing path that celebrates your growth and commitment. • Standing, sitting, lifting, walking is required daily.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds is required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, personal vehicle and appropriate vehicle insurance.
• Traveling in the community is required.
• Flexibility in work hours is required to meet department demands, including availability for evening.
• Use of technology platforms such as Setworks, Paylocity, Microsoft Office, and email is required daily.
• Ability to adapt to changing schedules while maintaining productivity and efficiency.
• Must be flexible and able to adapt to a variety of environments.
