Job Summary:

The Providence Center Community Clinical Therapist or RN Providence Police Per Diem will support and maintain relationships with Providence fire and police Chiefs by performing clinical and administrative functions under the supervision of the Supervisor.

Provide triage and assessment services for individuals in the community experiencing psychiatric crises.

Work closely with and provide education and training (individual and/or group) to pre-trial services, community agencies, police, fire departments, and other first responders.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with fire, police, and first responders to provide triage and assessment services for community members in psychiatric crisis. Identify diversion opportunities and hospitalization options.
  • Collaborate with TPC Acute Care Programs and other teams to coordinate care and services.
  • Develop and facilitate training for police, fire, and first responders.
  • Serve as a community liaison for Community Diversion with local agencies.
  • Assist in developing communication plans to promote the Community Diversion program.
  • Represent the program in meetings and organize daily service delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with policies and regulations, and treat consumers with respect and confidentiality.
  • Perform record keeping and complete necessary forms and assessments.
  • Develop individualized care plans with consumer input.
  • Participate in trainings, conferences, and staff education.
  • Maintain cooperative relationships with staff, consumers, and community partners.
  • Communicate effectively with various agencies and departments.
Requirements:
  • Master’s Degree in Human Services or active RN license.
  • QMHP eligibility required.
  • Minimum two years of relevant experience in mental health or social services.
  • Valid driver’s license and insured vehicle.
