The Green Bay Police Department is hiring Police Officers who serve the community with integrity and professionalism. Officers patrol, respond to crises, investigate incidents, and engage residents to build trust and keep neighborhoods safe.

Starting pay is $34.62 per hour with potential increases; lateral transfers may be placed within the range based on experience. Applicants must meet education and background requirements and pass testing.

Formación

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• U.S. citizen with no felony convictions.
• Valid driver's license and excellent driving record.
• Minimum of an Associate Degree or 60 college credits by Dec 31, 2026; WILESA waiver may apply.
• Background investigation must be successfully completed.

Responsabilidades

• Patrols assigned areas to deter criminal activity and remain visible to the community.
• Observes traffic, enforces traffic laws, and addresses roadway safety concerns.
• Performs investigations, gathers information, and takes appropriate action.
• Prepares accurate and complete reports related to calls for service and investigations.
• Responds to calls and crises using de-escalation and sound judgment.
• Builds community relationships through public engagement and partnerships.
• Enforces subpoenas and issues citations, and makes arrests as appropriate.
• Testifies in court and submits evidence.
