Job summary

Diocese of Raleigh is seeking part-time, on-site staff to work evenings and weekends, up to 15 hours per week. The role focuses on overseeing safety and security for community life programs and events at the Assisi Community Center, ensuring a clean, safe environment in line with Diocesan procedures.

Responsibilities include monitoring entrances, guiding visitors, assisting on campus, and coordinating with volunteers.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent is required.
• CPR Certification required or ability to obtain.
• First Aid Training required or ability to obtain.
• Employment is contingent upon passing a criminal background and reference checks; Safe Environment Training will be required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Monitor entrance and departure of visitors to maintain security and safety of the premises.
• Circulate among visitors to preserve order and protect property.
• Answer questions and provide support to those entering the Community Center on campus.
• Warn violators of code of conduct infractions and dismiss them if necessary.
• Manage and set up gym equipment for athletics programs (ability to lift up to 50 pounds).
• Work closely with volunteers, including coaches and café volunteers.

Work Arrangement: Part-Time / On-site / Variable hours up to 15 per week (weekends and evening shifts)

Position Summary:

Community Life Ministry ishiring part-time employees to work evenings and weekends in5-8 hours shifts.These staff members oversee the safety and security of community life programs, activities, and events that strengthen the communal aspects of our parish, community and neighborhood. The position supports operation of the Assisi Community Center by ensuring a clean, safe, controlled environment in accordance with the Diocese of Raleigh and parish procedures and guidelines.

Key responsibilities:

• Monitoring entrance and departure of visitors to maintain the security and safety of premises both visually and through security cameras.
• Circulating among visitors to preserve order and protect property.
• Answer questions and provide support to those who may enter the Community Center while on campus.
• Warning persons of code of conduct infractions or violations and dismisses violators from premises if necessary.
• Responsible for management and set up of gym equipment for different athletics programs (ability to lift up to 50 pounds)
• Work closely with volunteers to include coaches, café volunteers, etc.
• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• Currently possess or be able to obtain:
  • Red Cross or American Heart Association CPR Certification
  • First Aid Training
• Employment is contingent upon passing a criminal background and reference check; must complete Diocese-sponsored Safe Environment Training upon hire.
