Job summary

The City of Plymouth is seeking a reliable custodian to keep the Plymouth Community Center clean and welcoming. The role supports birthday parties, playground activities, weddings, meetings, and programs for children and seniors, with shifts typically 4–6 hours long.

Responsibilities include facility set-ups and teardowns, cleaning restrooms, restocking supplies, and operating floor scrubbing equipment. Training is provided, and applicants should be able to work calmly during busy periods.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and efficiently.
• Strong interpersonal skills for public interactions.
• Custodial experience preferred; training available.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties to maintain cleanliness throughout the center.
• Set up and tear down rooms for events under supervision.
• Change light bulbs, wash windows, restrooms, stock supplies, mop, dust.
• Operate maintenance equipment such as floor scrubbers and vacuums.
